The Role:
The Assistant Kitchen Manager is critical to ensuring smooth, efficient, and sanitary back-of-house operations. You will be responsible for upholding our uncompromising standards of product quality, managing the team, and actively leading shift execution. This role requires a professional who embodies a strong work ethic and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Impeccable Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure the kitchen and all workstations (BOH and FOH) remain clean, compliant, and hazard-free at all times. Lead daily cleaning operations, ensure employees "clean as they go," and uphold strict food safety compliance.
- Drive Organization and Efficiency: Maintain an orderly and organized workspace for all production, equipment, and storage areas. Manage inventory flow and storage organization to maximize speed and efficiency, preventing bottlenecks and delays.
- Lead with a Strong Work Ethic: Set the pace for the team, demonstrating urgency and moving with purpose throughout the shift. Consistently take initiative without being asked and ensure all tasks are completed fully and correctly, never cutting corners.
- Team and Operational Management: Supervise team members, provide real-time coaching, and ensure consistent adherence to all company standards, including product presentation and recipe accuracy.
- Accountability: Take ownership of the shift's success, troubleshoot issues immediately, and effectively communicate production needs and operational problems to leadership.
Qualifications and Compensation:
- Required Experience: Previous professional kitchen or supervisory experience is mandatory.
- Certification: Must possess a current Serve Safe Manager's Certification.
- Compensation: Starting annual salary of $55,000.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to manage team performance, strong leadership presence, and sound decision-making skills.
